About the Town of Seymour
The Town of Seymour was created in March 1872 when the Eau Claire County Board combined parts of the Town of Lincoln with the Town of North Eau Claire, and changed the name to Town of Seymour.
The population of the Town of Seymour was 3328 as of Jan 2016.
Land use in the Town of Seymour varies from suburban, to agricultural, to waterfront, to recreational. At the Town Hall site there are six ball fields, two tennis courts, a basketball court, and playground equipment. The Town has a park, North Shore Park, and 113 acres of public land. Two Eau Claire Co parks, Big Falls and L.L. Phillips as well as Tower Ridge Recreational area are located in the Town, as well as hundreds of acres of Eau Claire Co Forest land.
Eau Claire, Chippewa, and Fall Creek school districts serve the children of the Town.
The town board consists of a Town Chair, and two Supervisors. It meets monthly on the second Monday of the month.
